If you require any steel to be Hot Dipped Galvanized then you can bring it to one of our depots where it will be collected. South West Galvanizing Ltd collect our steel on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. During the busy season this can extend to a full week if needed. Planning
Applying for a planning application can be a long, tedious and unwanted task.
We can help you and advise you when applying for planning, and provide all the relevant drawings to go with it.
Our in-house design teams can produce planning drawings, we can also come to site to take all levels and measurements to ensure everything is correct before production commences. We can be there to advise you through the entire application process.
Site Surveys
We can offer completely free and professional site visits at any location throughout the UK!
Our friendly experts can come out to site and advise you on the most affordable ways of designing your new building and ensuring you get exactly what you want. If you are confused or find it hard to envision your new building, then give us a call to arrange a site visit. The other benefits of having a site visit are to ensure all measurements and levels are correct before the building is manufactured. If your building is not straight forward and requires technical advice, we can give this to you on site.

Operations ManagerKaren joined the company in 2012 as a building estimator and over the last several years, she has taken on the Health & Safety role, HR, and became Transport Manager in 2015 after passing the National CPC qualification. Karen still estimates all the buildings as well as carrying out all other duties required.ChairmanIan Ellacott is the forefront of South West Steel Construction Ltd. His wealth of experience and knowledge in the Agricultural and Industrial Construction industry provides our company with over 30+ years experience. Ian’s first ever job was working on a local farm milking cows, he did before showing interests as a sales person for a Steel Frame Building manufacturer. After being an extremely successful sales person, he then decided to start his own erecting team, erecting buildings throughout the South West. He has been the director of other successful Steel Frame Building manufacturers and his strong business mind has been the main success of South West Steel Construction Ltd.Managing DirectorSimon has been with the company since 2009 and started as a CAD Detailer. Simon has been professionally trained in Tekla steel detailing software and became the RWC co-ordinator in 2014. Simon recently in 2019 became the Managing Director in the business in order to help with managing and running the business, this meaning that Simon was able to bring in more structure to the business and allowing for more innovative ideas to keep the company pushing forward.Projects ManagerGraham has been with the company since the beginning and has worked with Ian for many years. He is best known in the company for managing the design department and ensuring all orders are manufactured and delivered on time. He has a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of Steel Frame Buildings.

Purchasing ManagerDavid joined us in 2013 and has become a great asset to the company. He oversees all material orders for stock and customers, as well as being the first point of contact for the customer. David has a wealth of knowledge in the agricultural industry and can advise you with any building queries and steel requirements.Accounts ManagerCarol has recently joined the team and has become a vital asset ever since Lesley left the position.
