We recently provided a Steel Frame Grain Store building to a Mr Williamson from Ipswitch, Suffolk. The building is 18.288m long (60′) by 18.288m wide (60′) and is 5.300m to the eaves. It is coming off of an existing Grain Store on the side and matches the others in height and width. It has a Marley Eternit Fibre Cement roof in a natural grey finish, which is very popular on Grain Stores because this type of roofing is strong, durable and does not produce any condensation which creates the perfect environment for storing grain. This building is clad in .7 PVC Steel Sheets in a Juniper Green finish all around the building except for a large opening on the front gable end.
Below the cladding is a BW Industries Steel Grainwall. This is an alternative to the big iconic concrete grain panels which you see on most grain buildings, this alternative method has been structurally assesed and proven to be a just as good, or even better than concrete grain panels. It is a more economical way of storing grain and it is also easier to fit these to the stanchions on the building and they are easily moveable at any time.
